As the name suggests, this site is exclusively for Skandanavian Skins for Strike Fighters, Project 1, a new flight simulator from Third Wire.

Skandanavia has basically been neglected by the Strike Fighters skinning community, with only a few available, but no more! Kind of fits, as the time period Strike Fighters covers, 1950-1975, has also been neglected by flight sim developers!

And ok, strictly speaking, Finland isn't part of Skandanavia - but it is a Nordic country, and just as ignored as the rest of us!

At present, only a few aircraft actually operated by Skandanavian countries are available in Strike Fighters. The F-86 Sabre, F-100 Super Sabre, and the F-104 Strikefighter, and the MiG-21 for Finland,  but more are on the way, such as the F-86D Sabre Dog, SAAB J-29, Draken, and Viggen, and the F-5 Freedom Fighter.

Having said that, why should we miss out on all the fun? If you want a Norwegian F-4 Phantom, why not?! Want a Danish A-4 Skyhawk? What about a Swedish B-52, or Finnish Avon Sabre (the ultimate Sabre), WHY NOT!!??!!

Now to save bandwidth (and time), most of the skins will be the bare minimum...decals and associated files, and whatever .bmp's are required for that particular skin. What that means is that there will be a basic aircraft package for each type of camoflage, with no markings, which you would need to copy for each skin. EASY!

So on this site, you will get historically accurate skins, and some not so....but all fun!

The latest skin: Another fictional skin. I'm still waiting for a historic aircraft operated by a Skandanavian Air Force to be released. I suppose all the aircraft modders are waiting on the second patch before releasing any new aircraft. BTW, if anyone wants a particular aircraft skin done, just leave a message on my guestbook.
